My Story

Living with chronic back pain consumed every aspect of my life. I was unable to work which affected not only my home life but my pride as well.
I knew that I needed to do something different, by chance I visited Alexander school of Natural Therapeutics to inquire about massage school for my wife Joanne.
I was in severe pain at the time when my now mentor Bill Thompson, (Zen Bodytherapy® instructor.) sat me down in correct alignment, which was extremely uncomfortable at the time. He then applied deep pressure to my pec. muscle for a few seconds. This to me seemed a little odd as other practitioners had always focused on my back, where the pain was.
To my surprise, by the time I got home, the sharp stabbing pain was gone!! I often call it 7 seconds that changed my life.
I knew then what I needed to do to become pain free for good. I joined massage school and continued on to become trained in Zentherapy. Through the 10 session work that
Bill Thompson took me through and thorough my training I live 95% pain free today.
Now as an LMP & ZenBodytherapy® practitioner I am able to work again and take great pride in helping others be free of chronic pain.

Zentherapy is based on the idea that the entire structural order of the body needs to be realigned and balanced with the gravitational forces around a central vertical line representing gravity’s influence. Therapeutic intervention is directed toward the myofascial system--the ligaments, muscles, tendons, and surrounding connective tissues. A practitioner of Zentherapy has a ten-session cycle of work, in which different angles and degrees of physical pressure are used to stretch and guide fascia to a place of easier movement. The process is not intended to cure symptoms; its goal is to create a more resilient, higher-energy system, free of inhibitions due to past trauma.
Bodywork: Various forms of touch therapies that may use manipulation, movement, and/or repatterning to affect structural changes to the body.
Massage: The application of soft-tissue manipulation techniques to the body, generally intended to reduce stress and fatigue while improving circulation. The many variations of massage account for several different techniques.
